A- Pours a deep, cloudy russet hue with a big, foamy, tan head.

S- Dark fruit, pine resin

T- Deep roasted malt notes, robust fruitiness followed by sustained piney hopiness.

M- Medium to thick with ample carbonation.

D- This is a very drinkable IPA. More robust and malty than I am used to for the style but a nice sipper.

Light copper body. Off white head. Sporadic bubblage.

Very nice smell of piney and citrus hops. Also a decent sweet malt background.

Nice taste. Malt and the hops coming together nicely. Some bitterness, then I notice a honey lemon flavor. Definitely a sweet fruit mixing with some sour grapes and bitterness.

Light body. Slight carbonation biting the tongue. No alcohol burn at all. Leaves the mouth feeling a little dry and tart.

Drink ability is quite high for a decent amount of ABV. Very easy drinking. I had to make sure I didn't finish the whole thing before I was reviewing the body.

A - Light amber with a fine persistente white foam.

S - Herbaceous by hop come out with tropical fruit (pineapple). Also citrus and malty smells. In the end comes the ethylic.

T - In mouth come first malt, then bitterness, and last resinous by hop for an equilibrated and fine taste!!

M - I'ts important to note that at the noise it's more intense than persistente but in the mouth it's the opposit..

D - Very drinkable beer. I'd like it!!

Golden copper color with a solid cover of bubbly lacing.

Aroma is like a pine tree shaped air freshener but edible and delicious. A minimal amount of fruity tang. Some sticky burnt caramel.

Malty sweet caramel is upfront. Sticky pine resin with a mild bite. Finishes with some citrus and a pine dryness. Very bitter resin tail.

Medium body with a pronounced finished. One is very satisfying.

An impeccable brew that goes beyond IPA greatness. Full Bodied, hoppy brew that has a sweet initial taste of citrus, pine, and a slight flavor of grapefruit taste. Extremely drinkable and worth every sip in regards to value. This is my 1st time purchasing a case and third time drinking out of a bottle and I rank this in my top 5 of American IPA's due to it's unbelievable attention to quality, crispness, and flavor that ranks up with Victory Hop Devil and Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Really interested in the Hercules Double IPA and wish I could have the opportunity to try it on tap.

12oz bottle poured into a standard pint glass. This beer never lets me down. Pours a transparent golden w/ white fluffy head and decent lacing. Very floral! This IPA is loaded w/ citrus and pine; pretty hoppy. I'm picking up alot of pineapple, grapefruit, and pine. It's pretty bitter, but there's a sweetness that lingers. Well carbonated, rich and smooth. Very tasty, making for great drinkability.

This is definitely one of the better IPAs out there! Great Divide really nailed this one. Any hophead should be all over this one! Recommended.

Pours a really nice golden orange color, mostly transparent with a slight chill haze. a big inch worth of foamy cream colored head results and sticks around, leaves behind quite a bit of lacing.

Big hop aromas of grapefruit and other citrus. Very musty, dank smell. I can't detect any other scents that penetrate the floral hop boquet.

The taste starts out immediately with lush notes of grapefruit balanced by slightly sweet toasted caramel malts. Very smooth. More fruity hop flavors than bitterness or malt.

Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A little bit of lingering bitterness.

Highly drinkable beer despite the 7% abv. vanishes quickly after it hits the glass, i'm left wanting more and more as i drink.
I prefer Titan on tap more so than in the bottle, but i'm craving hops, and this beer really hit the spot for me. This is a beer I return to quite often.

Bottled: Nov. 3rd, 2010. Pours an almost-clear golden orange color with a small white head that disappears quickly. Scent is lovely with strong grapefruit aromas and sweet candy and even a bit of green apple. Hops are present in the aroma, but more sweet than hoppy. Taste is initially hoppy with great caramel flavors followed by grapefruit and citrus notes. Delicious beer! It end with some piney notes and hob bitterness. Mouthfeel is somewhat chewy, but crisp at the same time. Drinkability is high. I'm loving that Cali gets Great Divide now!

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Titan pours a hazy golden copper color with a tight, creamy, white head. Some big bubbles remain, but most of the head fades after a few minutes. Spotty lace forms webs on the glass.

Smell: Great aroma here - candied juicy grapefruit leads the sweet and hoppy charge. Pineapple and some other tropical fruits are present as well. A bit of caramel.

Taste: The flavor starts out sweet, with a touch of citrus. The juicy citrus grows, gaining hoppy momentum until some tropical fruits become involved as well. A light touch of alcohol sneaks in intermittently with the other flavors. Finishes mostly sweet, with a touch of bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Very juicy, with lots of hop oil on the tongue. There is a good amount of carbonation here, but it drinks creamier more than anything. A fuller than medium body.

Drinkability: I love IPA's, and I particularly like the subset of juicy tropical / citrusy IPA's, so this is right in my wheelhouse. This will be added to my regular IPA rotation.

This is my first review, so it will be pretty simple.

I served it at home in a ceramic mug, so I wasn't really able to judge appearance. My first impression is that this is a good IPA for those that generally like the style. It's not as overwhelmingly bitter as most, so it's very drinkable.

Lively bubbles rise up to a dense, puffy white head. The beer is a dark shade of orange with maybe a hint of brown. Crystal clear, no haze. Was this beer dry hopped? We'll see...

The cap of foam that sits on top of my pint is so dense and frothy it obscures the hop aroma, only to be revealed when I swirl the glass. When I do, pine tree-like aromas escape. Assertive enough to be dry hopped. Most IPAs exhibit a floral character but not this one. Imagine the smell of a (non-fake) Christmas tree.

The taste is medium-sweet maltiness backed up by a solid backbone of hop flavor from start to finish. In fact it's amazing how both the malt and hops are able to compliment each other in this beer. Because it's an IPA the hops win, of course. But it's nice to see that the malt doesn't wimp out.

A-Pours a golden amber with a lighter head with lacing and a bunch of bubbles. Not overly exciting in the looks department but...skin deep.

S-Kinda musty I guess. Like the previous review states. Definately an odd funky note to it. If it coincides with great flavor I will appreciate the different aroma but if not...

T-Nevermind, this beer is quite delicious. I was apprehensious at first with the nose, but after tasting this beer I am quite impressed. The beer smells like its from the earth. It tastes like liquid hops. Much better than I anticipated. It tastes hemp-like. Quite delicious.

M-Chewy. Sticky and good. Medium body. Carbonation completements the beer perfectly.

D-Ah Yes. Quite drinkable.

Very glad I tried this beer. Awesome. I wish it wasn't $13 a sixer. This would quickly become a fridge veteran.

A- a dark honey colored brew with nice head and spider-man lace (ha)
S- hoppy w citrus notes. piney is a good way to describe it.
T- solid hit of nicely rich malts flavor followed by a perfectly balanced hit of bitter hops.
MF- full mouthfeel with citrus, malt, and bitter hops.
D- very drinkable, especially if you love hops. great finish that coats the palatte and begs for another drink.

Overall, i like this brew, it is a solid IPA that is well balanced. Great Divide brewery (and colorado breweries generally) have made a great brew that keeps ya coming back. this even has a nice abv level of above 7% but you would never know it by taste, but you will after youve finished one. highly recommend this IPA

T- Sweet for an IPA. Sweet malty biscuit flavor, hints of pine and earthy tones. Notes of bitter grapefruit. Musty.

M- Medium body with slightly creamy feel. Nice hop bite in the middle. Slightly syrupy thick. Dry finish.

D- Nice balance, earthy pine hops and dry finish.

Pours a nice big but containable head of two fingers, with large head soap bubbles of off white. Big bubbles and elevator music coming from the bottom up the glass. Deep gold of 24k quality with some minor cloudiness. No lacing upon finish. Excellent looking beer.

In terms of smell, good bread front with a fun "funk" character of burnt toast rye, funk sweet acorn squash, sweat even, musty like a winery, also dirt-soil.. big earth.

Taste comes up in a big raw barley sense up front good hop finish on the end. Extreme chew factor in palate with a VERY good body, mild grapefruit finish with minimal if any bitterness at all. ABV is totally hidden in this beer. Some slight wetness but not too much leaving a good solid drinkability for the consumer.

A- Full one-fingered white head sitting atop a dark amber/red hued IPA. Difficult to see but there is a lot of effervescence and sediment in there. A plethora of lacing.

S- Slight citrus. Bready.

T- Sweet citrus. Pine. Just got a hint of vanilla?...wtf? Kind of muted overall.

M- A tad of the syrupy side. Adequate enough carbonation.

D/O- Overall, a little disappointed. Compared to other "top-tier A-" IPAs Ive had recently, this one falls short in the flavor department. I'd still like a few of these on any given night but not even close to Celebration, Finestkind, and the like.

Poured a nice clear copper color with a decent head and medium carbonation from a 12 oz bottle with ABV and 'date of bottling' on the label. Aroma is predominantly hoppy with hints of sweetness, fruity esters and malts. Outstanding taste, a perfect blend of hops and malts, exquisite on the palate. This is IMHO one of the best IPA's around. The taste gets better as the beer warms up, with the oily pine flavor gelling perfectly with the sweet and malty aftertaste. Very good lacing along the walls of my glass. This is a perfectly balanced IPA and one has to indulge carefully, because this is definitely a highly drinkable beer. To reiterate, Titan IPA is hands down one of the best beers from Great Divide and truly a very delicious and fulfilling IPA. Highly, highly recommended.

A: The pour is a golden orange color with a finger's worth of white head.

S: The nose starts off with a big bitter grapefruit aroma as well as some solventy notes. I get a bit of a Lemon Pledge aroma to this beer. There's a touch of sourness and an undertone of bready malt.

T: A moderate bitterness with a pretty substantial malt character for an IPA. Some piney hops provide bitterness as does grapefruit and citrus peel.

M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. The finish is pretty dry and bitter.

D: Wasn't really a fan of this one. It didn't have very many of the traits I usually look for in an IPA.

Into a Sam Adams glass.

Solid looking pour. Clean clarity for an almost perfectly golden body. Head is super-dense, almost like one of those foam mattresses. The head stays constant, and is marshmallow-white.

Aroma is strong and really nice. I get a lot of fruitiness with a little earth in the background. Nice sweetness.

The flavor belies the aroma, but is still outstanding in its own right. The hops are fairly piney, slightly grassy, with a super-bitter bite. Malts add a slight sweetness, but they don't quite balance out the bitter. Finishes wicked clean and dry.

Mouthfeel is nice, if only a bit too sticky at the later stages.

Drinkability is good, even if the flavor is a little intense. You gotta like the style to enjoy this one, but if you do, you'll crave getting this one again.

A: very opaque copper/orange. Large white head, takes a while to settle.

S: Very Earthy. Floral and piney notes stick out quite well. Heavy on the hops and the citrusy sweetness. I can smell some notes of honey malts also, gives it a nice smooth nose.

T: Fruity and hoppy. Sweet and extremely malty. The floral notes and the generous amount of malt give this brew an incredibly smooth drink. One of the most well-balanced beers i've had in a very, very long time. Alcohol is hardly present, it's almost entirely masked by the powerful punch of a flavor this guy has. Beautiful finish; not nearly as dry as a figured it would be.

M: On the milky side but not sticky or syrupy. Simply amazing. Medium carbonation, full body.

D; Phenomenal. One of my favorite IPAs

A - Pumpkin/copper with a foamy white head that dissipates into some excellent sticky lacing.

S - Smells of pine and flowers. Hints of citrus.

T - Piney with a light citrus fruitiness. Dry malt finish. You can't taste the alcohol at all. A perfect amount of hops for a single IPA. Gives you a nice warm feeling in the stomach.

M - Thick and smooth. Perfect amount of carbonation.

This is a fantastic beer. The high alcohol is the only thing stopping this from being a session brew.
