Appearance - Black and thick as tar. No head whatsoever to it. Granted this thing is ice cold but I usually expect SOME carbonation. This thing is liquid black!
Smell - Mingling of the usual suspects; toasty malt, coffee, chocolate. A bit of something...else too, something kinda sweet. Can't place it.
Taste - There is a nice light carbonation in the back, a tingling on the palate. Lets the flavor perk up, and its really solid; A good chocolate-malt mix with coffee notes in the back to balance it.
Mouthfeel - Creamy.
Overall - I wanna rate it a little higher overall. But there is something about it that I like and I hate at the same time in the taste.
Still its a good stout...and if nothing else, its got me curious about its oak aged espresso brothers...
