Pours jet black in color and pretty thick. Head Is about half a finger, tan, and retains nicely.
Smell is great. Rich, dark chocolate malt is forward and has a moderately sweet and mildly roasted aroma. Faint hints of vanilla are present alongside a grainy note and some slight alcohol.
Taste is malt forward. Way more roasted husky malt flavors are present in the taste relative to the nose. A Light coffee bitterness is balanced well with a toffee like malt sweetness. Some hops add slightly to the bitterness however are light in taste.
Mouthfeel is great. Rich, creamy bitter and sweet everything you would expect from a good imperial stout.
