This is quite a beverage!
Pours nice and dark and thick, like a stout should. A bit heaver looking than others, more like 40 weight instead of 10 weight (oil, that is). not much foam, but the ring around the edge laces on the side of the glass. Imagine that (from a drink this thick).
This tastes very very very rich. nice and thick. syrupey. The taste is of chocolate, malt, carmel and alcohol. There is a bit of a pine hop bite which I am not very fond of, though. I had this rated at 4.5 for taste until I kept noticing that lingering on.
The mouthfeel is very nice. Very creamy. Righ throughout the drink.
The finish is failry sweet, and clean, but that bitter pine hop thing, again, is lingering. It leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste which is easily remidied with the next sip.
It has a very nice heavy body.
I highly recommend this rich beverage.
