this one knocked me off my feet, pretty literally actually!
A - THICK dark body, shy enough of syrup to be liquid. nearly pitch black, and the head on this thing is insane. one of the darkest heads I've seen
S - everything you could want in a stout smell, roasted malt and grain everywhere, a little yeast, some faint alcohol
T - dark but not excessively bitter, almost fruity in its overlying sweetness. this gives way to a great blend of dark chocolate malt, slight hoppiness, and coffee tones. enough alcohol is present as a flavor note, but is well hidden behind everything else. very good
M - a beastly body, but not sticky or rough, still smooth.
D - great choice for an after dinner Friday night beer. skip dessert and just drink this instead.
