Served in a pint glass. Brownish-orange with a small bubbly head that leaves a moderate amount of lacing.
Smells of caramel and chocolate malt with hints of spice and muted hops.
The taste is much more bold than the aroma. Malty caramel and chocolate notes suppress the slight hop presence. The smell of spice doesn't come out much here, but maybe fore the better. This tastes good.
Mild carbonation lends to a syrupy-medium body, allowing the subtle but strong grain bill to be the headliner.
This is a tasty beer - a winter warmer that isn't 5% spices - and definitely worth picking up a six pack.
