12oz bottle poured into a large snifter
Pours a dingy gray-brown color with no head, lots of extremely fine and extremely slow carbonation, it just doesn't collect. Smell is mild, alcohol, and dark fruit. On my third or fourth whiff, I suddenly detected some kind of bright berry note that just upped my score for the smell a notch.
Taste is actually a bit like a mild porter flavor. Fruity, very slightly astringent, sweet, a little nutty.
Mouthfeel is surprisingly still, but light and not sticky. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.
