poured a beautiful deep reddish color with a small head that rapidly dissipated. I'm not docking it points for the lack of head or lacing because it looked so pretty in the glass.
Smelled deliciously of raspberry, with a little maltiness in the background.
Mouthfeel was a nice medium body, typical of a quality ale.
The flavor was absolutely delicious for a fruit beer. Not too tart, not too sweet, not so fruity that you couldn't taste the malt and hops, but not so beery as to cover up the fruit flavors. Everything just seemed to be in the perfectly balanced proportions.
A lot of fruit beers leave me unimpressed, but I would seek this one out again.
