Poured into a Dogfish Spiegelau glass. Label says Bottled On MAR 28 2014
A- Pours a dark amber color with a 1/2 inch light tan head that retains a bit before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves a jagged ring behind.
S- Sweet, toasty malt nose with hints of hops in the back.
T- Very malty pale ale with lots of bready notes and a moderate sweetness. The hops provide just enough mild bitterness to balance things out.
M- The thin coating of malt syrup complements the restrained hop bite. Medium carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Definitely more in the vein of the English Pale because of the dominating malt presence which is fine if you're in the mood for that.
