Had a few of these at Bukowski's sunday night.
I had been a rough weekend so I felt like having a few "session" beers (rare for me), and I am glad I decided to try this.
Buk's must have just added this one, and I think the keg was still brank-spankin' fresh...it was a great, easy drinking beer that was not at all the boring, dry pale session ale I so loath.
Appearance was a lovely copper...somewhat cloudy (tough to tell though in a dark bar) -fluffy white head that lasted until the last sip
Aroma was of smooth fruity hops & nice creamy malts
Mouthfeel was velvetly, almost decadent...a nice surprise in a low gravity beer such as this. Perhaps they used some wheat, or just high quality barley malts mashed at a high temp. This is how I craft the occasional low gravity ale I brew at home. I like some actual body in these beers, and Denver Pale Ale has it
A nice smooth hop presence...possibly Simcoe...tough to be sure. Not overbearing, a good balance.
This could be by new favourite session beer....for those rare occasions when I crave one..excellent
Serving type: on-tap
