Poured into a wine glass.
A- Pours ruby red/Amber with an unbelievable head, great lacing and retention.
S- smells of pine, toast, and carmel, very complex and deep, I keep smelling it because I know there is another smell that I am just missing completely.
T- a long lasting bitterness that just soothes your body, it feels like this beer is giving me a good rub down...and that this beer is a hot brunette. The hops are more earthy than I am used to but there is enough grapefruit in there to balance it out. Not to mention a hefty malt back bone. Much more well balanced than I am used to in a DIPA
M- perfectly carbonated with a medium body, very low cloying considering it is a double IPA.
D- Very drinkable for an IPA, I think this is my favorite rainy day beer. It warms you up yet is still refreshing enough to make you wish it was sunny and warm enough outside to go play.
