On tap @ Underground Bluz.
Great Divide is a fantastic brewery with an excellent variety of tasty offerings. I have also had this beer in the bottle, so I was looking forward to this draft with gusto.
Very malty with caramel and apricot syrup. A bit bready as well.
Citrus and peach in the aroma. A beautiful pour with a thick white head and a rich amber color. A lot of lacing.
Thick and creamy on the palate. Almost heavy. Surprisingly, very little alcohol burn. The hoppiness of the beer is undeniable, but the bitterness is so moderated by the malty flavor up front that the bitter finish is welcome and necessary.
Drinkable, but not a beer I would session because of the high (and disguised) ABV and (to be honest) the cost. But you get what you pay for with this beer. Big flavor. Excellent.
