What an amazing beer!
I have always enjoyed IPA style beers and boy does this one take the "cake."
It poured into a Great Divide Cervoise Goblet nice orange/copper/amber colored. A nice copper head topped it off.
The taste and mouthfeel of the beer were fantastic. I was able to detect a nice malt backbone that melded very nicely with the very hoppy tones of this DIPA.
A fantastic nose for sure as well. You can sense the alcohol, but the hop overtones are more assertive. The two biggest profiles were the citrusy and pine notes of the hops.
I love this beer, but you can only have a bit as it is 9.1 ABV and not one you can drink all night long without some undesired affects.
This went VERY nice with some spicy chicken Chimichangas that we whipped up!

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass. Amazingly found in the bargain bin of a local liquor store for $1.
Clear amber liquid with a substantial off-white head.
Bracing, hop-laden aroma.
The flavor is more subdued than I expected from a DIPA. The hops definitely dominate but there is backbone of malt here that gives it enough sweetness to not be completely insanely bitter. Lingering hop oilyness on the palate. A little bit of copper. A little bit of wheat bread. Mostly piney hops, especially on the finish.
The bottle says it is 10% ABV but I can't tell it.
Very nice full mouthfeel that sticks around.
I would recommend this for any hop-heads. It might make a good counterpoint to serve with a sweet fruit pie.
