Notes/Commercial Description:
HERCULES DOUBLE IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. HERCULES delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malty sweetness balances its aggressive hop profile. 85 IBUs.

Pours a murky brown with a thick, fluffy head that lasts. The aroma is pine needles (fits well with the picture of a mountain on the label.) Taste is, obviously, dominated by hops but the malty sweeness gives the bitterness a run for its money. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for me. There is a definite aftertaste of bitterness on the roof of my mouth. Very drinkable; went well with corn dogs and mustard.

A - Pours a bright, clear mahogany with an inch of thick, cream off-white head. A moderate amount of fine carbonation keeps a thick cap in place. Lovely.

S - A slap of resinous/piney hops, lemon, almonds, toasty malts, slight floral. Very nice.

T - Immediate smack of floral/resinous hops. The hops sit in the fore all the way through the drink but become more piney in the middle, before taking on a citrus flavour at the end. Some light fruit in the middle and a floral burst towards the end. Aftertaste lingers for some time and has a tobacco/woody/earthy taste. Absolutely no sign of the ABV. Really well crafted beer.

M - Medium/full body which evoles some syrupyness. Carbonation is initially cleansing, but fades away.

D - A real sipper. ABV nowhere to be found and refreshing hoppyness demands another taste.
