Notes/Commercial Description:
HERCULES DOUBLE IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. HERCULES delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malty sweetness balances its aggressive hop profile. 85 IBUs.

Poured from a 12oz bottle

A- pours a dark amber color... haziness in the glass. Sediment appearing, shows its not to fresh... big white head... quickly dissolves to a thin ring on the beer... wavy lacing to the glass

S- hop resin, piney sap smack, grassyness, buttery malt

T- piney resin, sweet buttery malt,

M- smooth and kind of creamy, medium body ... moderate carbonation ... hoppy ending for a lingering upon minutes on the tongue and mouth

O- this is good but I wish I had a fresh bottle to review... I can see where it would take off but this bottle falls short due to age... overall though with age, still holds it own for a DIPA

Appearance: Deep golden color with a golden-white head.

Smell: Good hop presence, touch of alcohol.

Taste: Good initial hop blast. It provides a good bite to work along with the strong malt backbone of this brew.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. It has a sticky quality to it.

Drinkablity: This is a good brew. Powerful, yet balanced.

22 oz bomber from local birding and beer emporium into Kapittel chalice.

Cloudy copper/orange body under one finger quickly dissipating white head with minimal lacing. Cookie malt and flowery hops in the nose. Nice sweetish hop/malt balance upfront, with a resiny finish and lively mouthfeel Alcohol is pretty well hidden, and this appears to be pretty drinkable despite the ABV. A pleasant surprise.
