Pours a dark golden honey color with an amber/copper tint. Three-finger head of frothy tan foam. Beautiful retention and wonderful sticky lacing.
Very nice balance of floral and citrus hops notes combined with a nice caramel biscuitiness. Notes of grass and nuttiness.
This truly has a big, bold hop profile, but it also has a strong malt backbone. Big caramel biscuit notes drizzled with pine resin. Slight hints of grapefruit. Light brown sugar notes. Mild spicy hops bite. Big citrus presence.
A strong medium, almost full, bodied brew. Smooth and creamy, almost velvet-like. Carbonation level is perfect.
Great balance, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, and well-hidden 9.10%ABV make this one a keeper. Yet another excellent offering from the brewers at Great Divide.
