Notes/Commercial Description:
HERCULES DOUBLE IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. HERCULES delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malty sweetness balances its aggressive hop profile. 85 IBUs.

A - Pours a bright, clear mahogany with an inch of thick, cream off-white head. A moderate amount of fine carbonation keeps a thick cap in place. Lovely.

S - A slap of resinous/piney hops, lemon, almonds, toasty malts, slight floral. Very nice.

T - Immediate smack of floral/resinous hops. The hops sit in the fore all the way through the drink but become more piney in the middle, before taking on a citrus flavour at the end. Some light fruit in the middle and a floral burst towards the end. Aftertaste lingers for some time and has a tobacco/woody/earthy taste. Absolutely no sign of the ABV. Really well crafted beer.

M - Medium/full body which evoles some syrupyness. Carbonation is initially cleansing, but fades away.

D - A real sipper. ABV nowhere to be found and refreshing hoppyness demands another taste.

Pours a deep golden bronze. A thick white head beckons me to investigate the flavors in this brew.
MAN! After my first whiff of this baby, I feel like someone punched me in the face with a hop plant! Excellent citrus hop scent, slight pine characteristics.
Sometimes the smell can be decieving, but not with this brew! Great bitter hop taste, intermingled with fruit flavors of citrus, grapefruit and malts. Great balance.
I did drink this for the majority of the evening, so it's safe to say I was surprised and I enjoyed it!
