22oz bomber poured into a Gulden Draak tulip glass
Appearance- Black in color with 2 fingers of browm head that dissipates into about 1/8 in layer on the surface with some lacing being left behind.
Smell- Definite oak, chocolate, and pine hop notes.
Taste- There is a ton of oak and vanilla up front. Middle of the tounge gets some chocolate notes and the finishes with a bitter chocolate punch.
Mouthfeel- Just a little lighter then I like an Imperial to be. There is a bit of carbonation to help on the finish, but it is drinking much more like soda then chocolate milk.
Overall- The oak aging is nice, but I wish there was just a bit more sweetness for better balancing.
