Bottled 9/24/12. Poured into a founders snifter glass.
A: Pure motor oil. Thick, creamy, milk chocolate head recedes to a skim. Big alcohol legs on this one. Looks gorgeous.
S: Getting huge vanilla cream notes, definitely getting the woodsy oak, sweet milk chocolate, this is super complex and rich smelling.
T: Like the aroma, lots of rich, massive sweet vanilla and woody oak upfront mixed with a good dose of lightly smoky, deep roasted malt, dark and brown chocolate, also getting a little bit of citrus type hop flavor on the finish.
M: Super creamy and smooth, full bodied, little bit of alcohol warmth going down, really coats the mouth with each sip. Excellent feel overall.
O: Unbelievable, really complex and full of rich, vanilla and chocolate sweetness, a solid hop presence, and just all around excellence. And this is available most of the year which is awesome. Will definitely pick up another and sit on it a bit to see how it ages.
