Bottled OCT 07 2011. Give it up for low turnover at the store I picked this up at. Don't see this around town nowadays.
Poured into a nonic pint producing not quite a two finger mocha colored head on top of a black body.
Pulled this out of the fridge at 50 degrees and the nose still wasn’t too impressive. Coffee, chocolate, oak and vanilla. The roasty component seems more subdued than the regular Yeti.
Lots of coffee, chocolate, and bitterness upfront. Did I mention bitterness? The oak and sweetness seem to show themselves more in the finish.
It is pretty smooth and creamy, but with quite a bit of carbonation for an aged RIS. Full bodied.
I feel this is still on par with the regular Yeti and am actually rating them the same.
