Poured into a standard pint glass.
A: This stuff looks pitch black and the head appeared, at least in the dimly lit room I was in, a purplish red/brown that glowed with some kind of radioactive presence. Great lacing all over the glass from the head and the beer as it was slowly drained into my belly.
S: The smell is big on this one. Coffee, chocolate, burnt grains and lets not forget the hops.
T: This beer tasted wonderful. The coffee and espresso flavors seemed dominant, but the hops and other flavors were there too just in a more subdued manor. The lingering flavor was total coffee beans with a bit of ethanol flavor, sting, and warming action.
M: This beer was pretty thick and viscous. It wasn't thickest stout I have had, but it did have that nice thick motor oil/molasses feel to it. I love that feel. This beer was also super creamy on the palate.
O: One very delicious stout and my first offering I have ever had from this Colorado brewery. I will most certainly be checking out more when I can.
