Pours a thick and menacing black tar color. I got a nice head to form on vigorous ending to the pour. The head faded quickly due to low retention.rnrnThe aroma is quit strong with roasted malts that border on burnt. Subtle smells of licorise and/or molasses are present too.rnrnTaste is dominated by a big roasted malt bill, but I like the way it has a slight burnt taste too.rnI can also taste hints of coffee and bittersweet chocolate and molasses and burnt caramel.rnrnthe mouthfeel is heavy medium. It is dry and slightly bitter from oak aging.rnrnI think this is my least favorite of the line, but it is very good.
