5th review on BA
Bottle poured with a bottle date of 1/7/10
1Pt. 6oz bottle, 650ML
Bottle to Snifter
App- The color of fresh caramel on the stove. Very cloudy light brown with the head a quick one finger flash, dissapated quickly and left an even lattice, didnt fall just hugged the glass.
Smell- A lot of aromas come out of the glass. Coming to the nose for me was a huge fruit smell, some oak, a little hops and then a bit of malt.
Taste- Very hoppy with a bitter taste at the finish. A bit resiny on the tongue as well. Bitterness shows its complexities per each sip I took.
Mouth- Dry, crisp but looms large in the realm of beers I have had (536, just started reviewing) Nice feel to it. Not that over powering for such a high ABV.
Drink- I've only had 6 barleywines but this has to reach the top of the pile. This was a good beer bordering on great.
