A - Looks awesome in the snifter. Deep rusty red with a super-tight, frothy tan head. Total American Barleywine. Bits of lacing on glass one, sheets on glass two.
S - Huge west-coast hops with a caramel malt running underneath. Booze, light toffee notes.
T - Pretty much the quintessional example of the style. Nice light booze notes amidst a huge bitter hop kick, coupled with a sweet, balancing malt. Great flavors and great execution. Huge without being overdone.
M - Med-thick bodied with ample carbonation help this go down too easily.
D - Uh oh. If this weren't so pricey it'd defintely be on my regulars list. As is, it's a beer I'll definitely revisit.
