This ale is a crystal clear reddish brown in color. The head is light tan in appearance, and medium in size from a vigorous pour. There is tons of lacing left on the glass as you drink the beer. The smell is of vanilla, brown sugar and dough. The taste is very malty, sweetness of sugar, biscuity, and smooth, with just a slight earthy character from the hops. The bitterness levels match up quite well with the sweetness, leaving a very well rounded taste. Mouthfeel is thick, carbonation is smooth and light. Very drinkable for such a high ABV beer, it isn't hard to drink the entire 22oz bomber by ones self. Great Divide has another great ale here!
