Poured in a pint from a brewmaster mix case.
Appearance- Dark Black with a brown corona and a thick three finger brown head.
Smell- Rich in roasted chocolate and coffee aromas with a little vanilla and nutmeg in the background. The nose feels a little weak to me, but it may just be my sniffer.
Taste- Cappuccino flavors of espresso and cream with hints of dark chocolate. A very smooth rich beer without being to terribly heavy. The taste is sweeter and richer than the nose though it is similar.
Mouthfeel- Rich and long lasting, but not terribly heavy. Very nice in a porter.
Drinkability- Very easy drinking for a porter even in the summer. I was surprised by it's flavor.
Another Great Divide Winner in my opinion.

a pretty good porter here, very much in the english style. i found it to be a bit sweet and a bit under carbonated for my tastes, but otherwise its quite good. medium brown, crystal clear, with a ruby red glow in the light. not much head on it. the nose and taste both are chocolate malty and sweet, amber beer sweetness, an odd sensation in a porter, which i usually look at as being dryer and more clean. it has a slightly watered down texture too, which surprises me in this dark colored brew with so much residual sugar. its a little generic overall, a beer i have tasted a thousand times, nothing super distinct about it at all. that said, the flavors work well together and its a rather true to style porter. more carbonation would make it outstanding, but it drinks a little heavy without it. one and done for me.
