First of all a huge thanks to hoppedup for this very selfless gift!
This beer pours out a somewhat hazy pale orange with a bit of a thin head yet thick sheets of lacing.
Smells like fresh hops alright, I grew some Cascade this year and this is pretty close to what I got fresh picked.
The taste is a nice sweetish pale ale reminiscent of Bells Two-Hearted but with a super citrus bitter finish.
Hats off to Great Divide for trying something fresh.

Single finger head with nice lacing on a golden with amber tones hazy body. This one is very aromatous, with citrus mostly pineapple with hops and a subtle pine note. The taste is a bit of a let down. Mostly a musty hop flavor withe a soapy finish. Actually a little plain. Maybe I was expecting too much from a pale ale. Very drinkable and smooth. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Received the beaut in a trade with stopbarking. This will be my first taste of a brew by Great Divide, although I have 2 others sitting in the “cellar”. Drank out of my Deschutes Black Butte Porter pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a nice orange yellow with hints of a pinkish red. Decent one finger off white head forms that is fluffy and glistening. Maintains a nice cap and collar for the duration of the brew that leaves a bit of ring like lacing.
Smell- Lot’s of citrus fruit goodness here. Lemon zest, orange and a boat load of grapefruit pop out of the glass. A bit of malt does show with very candy like caramel goodness.
Taste- As hoppy and aggressive as the nose. Starts the same way as it smells with lots of grapefruit and orange. A bit of very earthy, pine makes it’s way through as well. Some malt sweetness does show reminding me a bit of caramel corn. Finishes semi sweet that slowly gives way to lots of bitterness.
Mouthfeel- Slick and oily with a nice full feel. Nice medium carbonation.
Drinkability- This is a really nice beer. It’s really similar to Deschutes Hop Trip with a bit more bitterness. If I had to pick one, I’d probably go with the Hop Trip (just biased probably). This is a great beer though that you need to pick up while it’s still fresh. Thanks again to stopbarking!
