22 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a puffy layer. It is a slightly hazy pale orange color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Grapefruit, tangerine, citrus, grassy, herbal, floral, toasted, bready, pale, and caramel malts.

Taste: Grassy, citrus herbal, toasted, pale, bready, and caramel malts. Nice juicy hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, crisp, light to medium bodied, refreshing, a little chewy, and light tingly bitterness. Enjoyably delicious.

Overall: One of the best fresh hop ales around.

Pours a light tea colour with pleasant frothy head. Nose is bright and herbaceous, with hints of fruit. Taste is complex with melon rind, white pepper, thyme, bitter grass, and a nice oily, creamy malt palate. Great!

Poured from a 22 oz bomber into a pint glass. Best by 12/24/14.

Color was darker than I expected. Coppery amber with a thin white head. Lots of sticky lacing that just stayed glued to the sides of the glass.

Aroma was weedy and grassy with some pine, but then more citrus as it warmed. Smells pretty hoppy for a pale ale. More like a light IPA.

Flavor was dominated by the fresh hops. More citrus than the aroma, but some pine and grass as well. The malt is barely detectable but provides just enough backbone to balance the hop profile. Finish is bitter and long for a pale ale.

Feel is medium and creamy.

Overall, a bit closer to an IPA than a true pale ale, but whose drawing that line? I really liked this beer and was sad to see the last of it in my glass.
