Another beer that I cannot get in Utah. This one comes to me via a friend in Denver, Thanks Oyvind! I poured it into a goblet. This one is pretty cold from a bottle with a brew date of Aug 20, 2010.
Appearance: Since I swirled the yeast in, this is a very hazy pale yellow beer. The head is really no where to be found, but a little lacing was left or the glass.
Smell: Yeasty characteristics. I also can smell some light fruity notes maybe peaches or pears. There is a touch of earthy/herbal hoppiness also.
Taste: A taste of cooked rice lays a nice base for all of the other flavors which carry over from the smells noted above. There is a very slight white pepper note also.
Mouthfeel: Nice body. This is on the heavy side of medium which is good for this style of beer. The carbonation is zesty.
Drinkability: A solid blonde ale. Low ABV and no overwhelming flavors would allow several of these to be consumed back to back. Utah, bring in Great Divide already.
