Fresh 12oz bottled on 01/16/09
Pours a nice white 3 finger head. Body is a pale gold with lots of bubbles. Head retention and lacing are pretty good
Smell is of belgium yeast. Fruity zest and some peppery spice. Some straw malt but no hops.
Taste is a bit dry with some straw malt and some citrus or lemongrass. After taste has a slight metallic astringency, kinda how some white wines leave a similar affect. Taste of yeast is similar to grape and hops are slightly present and resinous.
Head is semi creamy and body is light and very smooth. Carbonation is on the mid to low side.
Over all a good attempt at a Belgium by an American brewery, especially for the price! Very easy to drink and at 7.3% alcohol can be deceiving. Now Im off to the Great Divide brewery for their St. Patricks day celebration

Extremely see-through bright yellow.
Bright white head which dissipates but does not disappear.
Strong lacing.
Banana nose; slight cloves. Definitely Belgian yeast, here.
Thin mouthfeel, almost watery; hops smack this lips.
Apple, banana & cinnamon bread; easily quaffable, with a champagne finish. A worthy beer.

From notes 1/4/12: Pours clear straw yellow with half a finger of white, very short-lived head that leaves very little surface cap and no lace. Aroma is Belgian yeast fruity esters especially bananas, cloves, a little stone fruit, bread and spices. Taste is similar with the addition of coriander and phenols. There is a noticeable hop character and more bitterness than anticipated from the style. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low-moderate carbonation.

Pours crystal clear straw colored under a sudsy white foam cap. Bread and yeast on the nose and palate with light fruit. A very creamy rich texture with a medium light body and above average carbonation.
