Pours pitch black, with a thick dark mocha head and great lacing.
Smells of dark sweet roasted malt, bitter chocolate, coffe and a forest after it rains, very nice.
Taste is complex, a touch of bitter chocolate sweetness, roasted malts, black coffee beans, a touch of floral hops on the end and another taste of coffee in the aftertaste.
Feels thick, and cots the tongue, yet silky and easy to drink. Hides its abv well.
I am relatively new to the Imp Stouts, but I really loved this beer. Big and bold, a great blend of flavors and texture, a very well made beer. Even my wife(a hop head to the core) liked this one, and that's nothing short of amazing.
