Pours nearly as dark as the background on this page. Big, fluffy seriously dark tan head forms. Creamy and dense after a few moments of settling, a 1/2" blanket remains. Great lacing.
Smell is rich and ful of things dark. Toasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, dark fruits, molasses with notes of wood and hops to balance the dark side.
Taste is very nice. A touch on the ashy side for me, but very well-balanced with baking chocolate, coffee, toasted malt, hops, molasses and the oak.
Rich and very smooth, full-bodied with a touch of coating on the palate. Very light effervesence, apparently the pour took care of that. This is a fine concoction and well worth seeking out. L'Chiam!
