Bottle into huna snifter. Bottle date jan 9 2012.
A: dark as night with a light coffee colored head about 1 finger. Finishes with a good amount of lacing, a great looking beer.
S: coffee, wood, chocolate, caramel, sweet, light alcohol.
T: more oak than anything, followed by dark coffee and dark chocolate notes. Perhaps dark fruits. Caramel comes through at the end. At 9.5% it hides the booze well. Great tasting beer.
M: heavy with comfortable smooth carbonation. Great feel to match the big taste.
O: a great beer that I have been holding for a while and it didn't let me down. Refreshing and tasty, a bit filling but any beer with this depth should be. Recommended
