Something special for #400 277/ 1104 Poured into a Great Divide Tulip
Thanks to Forgetfu for the bottle
A-- Poured black, pretty much motor oil black. Dark brown leather one finger head that quickly falls off to milk chocolate colored film. Get same reaction on swirling. fast running ABV legs on the sides of the glass and just bits of lacing here and there. Thinking the body is a bit thin with the fast legs.
S-- Buttery Carmel, Vanilla, milk chocolate, whiskey, and wood. Flavors mesh very well. ABV is in the nose but the Carmel and vanilla is just yummy. No coffee though. What I like most about the Yeti smell.
T-- Whiskey, wood, Carmel, vanilla, chocolate, and alcohol. The alcohol is not in a bad way though. Enhances the flavors and makes this more complex and richer.
M-- I will draw some parallels to some massive shiraz's I have had here. The beer sticks to my gums. Very numbing of the gums due to the alcohol. That is good though. Slightly thin body but makes up for it in feel. Rich, thick, chewy and heavy. Still lot of whiskey, wood, vanilla, dairy milk chocolate, and Carmel but also do get appearances of coffee and with dark fruits here and there. Bits of bitter coffee and whiskey finish are a good touch.
O-- Has some flaws here and there and the Alcohol is a bit overbearing at times. Reminds me way too much of a good shiraz that is just in your face. Still pretty easy to drink though. Still get the base beer and Yeti is to me the best Imperial stout on the market (ok, bit of a homer). Very good barrel treatment. Still ageing very well and will be good for a while. Quite happy to have had this.

750mL bottle poured into a taster glass. Huge thanks to Matt for sharing! This one I have been looking to try for quite some time.
(A)- Pours pitch black with some tan bubbles.
(S)- A robust sweetness with lots of raisin, molasses, and a syrupy bourbon oak profile.
(T)- A really nice robust and rich stout with an even greater bourbon and oak presence that far surpasses what was showing in the aroma. Really nice raisin and molasses/cocoa behind it on the finish.
(M)- A very mellow carbonation level, but it is balanced well with rich raisin/cocoa and superb bourbon oak nuances.
(O)- Overall, a great barrel aged stout. Rich and decadent with again, superb bourbon barrel oak components without making this overly boozy. Well done.

Thanks to CH for this awesome addition to the Amazing line of Yeti brews from Great Divide.
Pour is dark, thick and heavy. Small to medium head is noticeable..lacing is sticky and leaves rings all down the glass.
On the nose is plenty of bourbon. Roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and more bourbon. Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected from a stout in the yeti line. Not as full bodied as say and Oak Aged yeti, but still a very good Taste is cocoa and vanilla. Roasted malt and bourbon come in hot. Slightly boozy, but very balanced. The finish is dry and long, no doubt due to the heavy influx of bourbon aged onto the brew. I would say that this is a very pleasing and balanced beer. Although, I don't believe that it lives up to the hype that has surrounded it. It could be only that it is very rare. I enjoyed this beer very much! If you get the chance definitely give this one a try, but don't go out of your way for it! Cheers!
