Pours a black body and brown head. Laces the glass. You really can’t ask for much more from a big ol’ stout like this.
So much chocolate in the aroma of this thing. It just beckons you to start sipping right away. You get dark and a lighter milk chocolate character. There is some roast, vanilla, oak, and a slight alcohol presence.
Did someone say chocolate? Yeah, it’s here. The chocolate hits first with a little sweetness before being followed immediately by the roastiness. The bitterness is a lot more toned down from some of the other Yeti’s, but still pops out at you. The oak comes out more in the aftertaste as your mouth dries. It took a while to detect the cayenne. It just lingers in the background.
A med-full bodied brew. It’s a little drying. Goes down smoothly with the perfect amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel on all the Yeti’s I’ve had so far are just spot on.
This made the perfect compliment to a night of Tom Waits tunes.

A. Dark, dark brown, nearly black. An aggressive pour yielded a small amber head that retreats to a minimal film. No laces.
S. Chocolate, coffee, neutral oak, dark roasted malts all at noticeable levels. Hints of vanilla. Mild aroma.
T. The taste follows the nose consistently. A noticeable bitterness, not at all sweet. Major notes of coffee, dark malts, neutral oak, and some hops. No booze. A moderately bitter ale.
M. Moderately smooth, moderate carbonation, medium body.
O. Very balanced and consistent. Excellent. Highly recommended.
