A - Poured out of a bottle into a strange glass. See-through, copper color with 1 inch white head.
S - Rye? It smells like the malted barley smell that you get in a brewery. At first it was fine to smell this but after half the glass I am not enjoying the smell at all. It is to be expected from a Märzen, but the German Märzens I have had did not have as strong a malt smell. Now towards the end of the glass it is reminding me of the smell of the barn at the farm I grew up on. The barn on a hot day full of hay and cows.
T - Rye, malty sweet, finishes a little like a dry cider on the back of the tongue. Very nice.
M - Clean, carbonation on the tip of the tongue. Pleasant.
D - Quite drinkable. Great rye beer, the only downside was the smell, which was just a little too strong.
