A: Poured into a mug, the body is slightly chill-hazed but bright, honey-orangey-amber in color, with no real head but a thin film of white.
S: Nose is pleasant but not strong - slightly spicy with a touch of sugar cookie dough.
T: Lightly toasted bread, rye spiciness and some sweet sugar cookies (again). Hops create nice balance with a slightly herbal, floral bitterness. Finishes real clean but with some ever-so-slight lingering underlying sweetness and spice that makes you want to take another sip.
M: Medium-bodied in heft. Carbonation is moderate but with some bite.
D: Very nice. This beer is going down very quickly. At 6.2% it's a tad bit strong for an Octoberfest/Marzen, but you wouldn't know it from the quaffability factor.
