Had on tap in NYC. Fair head of off white foam. Nice amber red in color, a touch darker than your standard IPA. Picked up a nice touch of vanilla in the aroma, also, some maltiness, not a lot of hop presence. Taste picks up with more Vanilla, caramel, piney hops, and malts. Oak aging is a nice touch on this one. Not the most Hop heavy IPA I've had, but refreshing nonetheless.

a: Dark, hazy coppery color; poured small, sticky white head.
s: Some prickly oak and flowery pine, but mostly sweet caramel in the nose.
t: Lots of caramel sweetness plus a hint of vanilla. Floral, herbal hops with some pine resin. Lingering bitter woodiness.
m: Hearty and sticky.
o: Three month old bottle, this was pretty good.
