Poured from a bottle into an oversized wine glass.
Look - dark amber/medium brown in color, with about a finger's worth of light khaki-colored foam that dissipates quickly.
Smell - pretty malty in general, with an interesting floral component to it. Something unique and sweet in it. It could be the oak chips or it could be the hops.
Taste - malty, as is the smell, but there's a slight tang that starts in the middle of the taste and culminates in a muskiness in the finish, but with a sweeter, almost candy-like aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - pretty well-balanced overall...not too creamy not too watery.
Overall - a very interesting brew. Both good-tasting and intriguing.
