Pours a beautiful bright amber with a thumbs width beige head. The head quickly recedes, leaving a small coating on the surface. Nice lacing to this. A fantastic clean aroma of citric hops (great blend of grapefruit and lemon), oak, a touch of bready malt and a little alcohol showing itself. A little earthy bitterness to the flavor, wood, a hit of vanilla, and some bread. The alcohol is also saying HELLO! and leaving behind a nice warm feeling after each sip. Crisp, medium moutfeel to this. Overall, not a huge fan of this one. I wish the alcohol could have been a little more hidden. At this abv, though, that might not be a realistic wish.
