Poured into pint snifter
Pours 1 finger of creamy off-white head. Fades to a thinner layer leaving some sticky lace. Color is a bright orange hued gold.
Aroma: Some orange and grapefruit citrus up front. A decent amount of malt shows. A grassy/floral hop profile. Then some oak and vanilla show.
Taste: A big amount of oak shows up front with lots of malt. Vanilla and some spices show. Caramel and bready malts. Floral hop profile. Some citrus in the background.
Mouthfeel: Bitter, but creamy. A fuller body for the style. Medium amount of carbonation. Ends with a lot of oak flavors.
Overall, this tasted like the other years. But more malty and oaky. It does show malts, but has a big enough hop profile to back it up. The oak is very dominate in this beer as well and reminds me a bit of cedar. Fairly drinkable.
