Stopped by Great Divide Brewing a couple times while hitting up Denver downtown area. Both times it has been packed full of people but the bartender still manages to push out beer faster then the average place on an average night. I had a couple of their limited release brews on tap as well as the usual Yeti, and all were fantastic. They do have beer to go in a small cooler in a corner and the price is decent. Seating can be hard to find but most people hang around the bar area so you might be able to find a seat pretty quick. If you make your way to the back of the seating area you'll notice the huge see-through windows that allow you to watch the brewers as they make their sweet nectar. Overall a must go-to brewery if you're in the area with plenty of places to visit nearby.

Went here with a friend to slake a thirst. The taproom is surprisingly tiny, barely enough room for the bar and sitting room, but once you squeeze in, have a round and start talking to people around you it becomes cozy and friendly. All the beers on tap were exceptional; the Hercules DIPA was surprsingly mellow and well balanced on tap, much more so than in th bottle it seems. Had a great time chatting and drinking, they let me vape on the patio, overall a really great experience at Great Divide.

A: Vibrant would be an understatement. My visit was on a Sunday afternoon. Elbow to elbow, but was able to get a spot at the bar.
Q: Good consistent beer, but outside of the Yeti, nothing that truly distinguishes itself.
S: About what you would expect in a packed bar
Sel: While a large selection on tap, nothing unusual that you had to come here for
O: The place is packed so hard to argue with that, but then if you are looking for something really interesting there are other brewers in town that can deliver that as well. If you couldn't get Yeti across the country that would be one thing, but since you can, I'd opt for other spots in town.

Great Divide does some big beers, and they do them well. Their stuff is priced a little higher than most comparable products at the store, but most of them are worth it. Try some of their unfamiliar ones in their sampler pack for a good introduction to what's going on there. And, like many others, they're building a new facility a mile or so away, which will greatly enhance their ability to produce more beer. Everybody wins.
