A-I visited on the Saturday afternoon of Memorial Day Weekend and the place was packed. Like standing room only packed. I'm not typically a crowd guy, but everybody was having fun, so I cannot complain. Loud-ish rock'n'roll added to the high energy of the place. The bar area up front is small and the seating area around back is not much bigger. The tasting area has a fun feel in a college sort-of way.

Q-The beers on tap were, not surprisingly, Great Divide, which means that they are good beers, with a few great beers like Yeti and variants of Yeti.

Ser-Despite the crowd, I got a drink quickly and without fuss. The beer was poured into a oversized fluted glass, which appeared clean. The pour was well-done. I did not hang around long enough (and the place was too busy) to get into any in-depth conversations with the bar tenders, but it appeared that they knew their beers.

Sel-If there is a down-side to my visit, it was the selection. There was not a single beer on tap aside from St. Bridget's Porter that is not widely available in Denver. To be fair, they had a lot of their regular lineup available, but I don't go to breweries to taste what I can buy at the store near my house.

V-Beers were six bucks for a full-size pour, which is a bit on the high side.

O-I liked the slightly rowdy feel -- this a bar, damnit, not a morgue! The lack of selection was a bit of a letdown, but I will have to get back when something special is on tap. For those visiting from outside the Great Divide distribution area, this place is worth a visit if only to sip on some Yeti.

Such a great example of Denver beer. Great location, blocks away from Coors field and a really great tap room that always has a comunal, public house feel (not a bar). Bright with lots of windows and huge tap selection. These guys have a ton of style options as well as a ton of Yeti variations - there were 4 when I was in last! They offer a short brewery tour that is okay, but that is compared to some of the other big CO breweries that offer huge extensive tours. Great Denver brewery.

A review for their new taproom in the Barrel Room.

Very nice building and taproom, albeit on the small side. If this was a nano brewery that would be appropriate, that its for one of the big boys in the state it seems out of whack a little. I guess they do also have the spot on 19th and Arapahoe, but I read they want this place to be a destination spot and I just don't see how the current set up would allow that, at least once the weather gets crappy and the outdoor seating is no longer an option. All in all, for my experience, I enjoyed the spot. I have never been a huge Great Divide fan and this visit didn't alter my opinion of them. I enjoyed one of the beers I tried, didn't care for the other one. They brew quality beer, I just find that their stuff doesn't always click with me. Service was excellent. Selection was not bad but was a little disappointing all things considered. A brewery of Great Divide's size, I was hoping for a few unique, pilot options. Of the 16 taps, it looked to me like only 2 of the tap lines were of beers that aren't part of their packaged line, a dunkel and a smoked Yeti. Overall, nice place but it fell below my expectations. I expected this to be the Denver equivalent to Odell in Fort Collins and Avery in Boulder, the big local brewery showcasing all they have to offer. Instead it was basic and minimalist. Unless you are a Great Divide fan already, not sure there is much of a draw to this place, personally.

Great Divide is an awesome Colorado brewery. I've been a couple times now and did the tour once. The service is always great and the vibe is fun. It can get really, really busy though. Even when it is busy the pours still come quick and the staff never gets stressed. Everyone has a good time. Plus, the beer is amazing, obviously.

Love going to the tap room, and you can never beat whatever seasonal Yeti they have on tap. Their selection has gotten better over the years too. The bar is a little small and cramped, and is only standing room, and the adjecent room is also too small, but other than that, it is always a fun place and a cool place to visit. The food trucks in front are usually mediocre, but I don't care a whole lot about food when I visit breweries anyway.

This is a must visit in Denver. It is very small and tight for space, but has a lot of character. The tap list was big enough but somewhat lacked in terms of quality. No barrel aged offerings except for the the current anniversary ale, which was just average.
