Picked this up from the brewery which is fairly new, operating out of a residence and only open on Fridays and Saturdays. This pours with a rich, hearty beige, very thick and really sticks to the side of the glass. Great malty sweetness at first but shortly is overcome by some nicely done grapefruit hop flavor. Plenty of hop oil left in the mouth, this beer has a certain rawness to it which I love, the growler went away a bit too fast...a very easy drinking but challenging IPA.

Poured a brilliant yellow-amber with a finger of dingy white head. Aroma of caramel, honey, and sharp pine.

Moderate carbonation and a light but slightly syrupy/resinous mouthfeel. Strong citrus up front followed by sweet honey and biscuit and a lingering pine finish.

Very nice flavors going on with plenty of fresh hop presence. Drinks like a mini-imperial IPA -- very nice.

Glad to finally see this brewery finally getting out, I've only had their brews at festivals and enjoyed them. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear, slightly orangeish amber that had about 1/4 inch of off-white head that had good retention and minimal lacing.

The aroma was abit sweet and caramelly, more than I'm used to in the style, with the hops being on the subdued side. On the tongue however, this brew was a hop blast. The solid malt foundation had crisp and clear hop highlights.

The body was full, well rounded and smooth. Drinkability was very good, I've had several of these over the last couple days and have yet to get bored with it. A must try if see it and certainly worth swinging by the brewery on the days the tasting room is open.

I picked up a half growler at the brewery and drank it the next day. Jackass has a melon-like aroma with pinesap and even pineapple. The fragrance is certainly fruitier and sweeter than IPAs typically are with minimal forward hop character. The taste also boasts strong malt structure; it's almost syrupy. The hops are sprucy and arboreal.

Jackass is clear warm amber with absent suds. It's an easy drinker and goes mighty damn well with a handful of chocolate chip cookies.

Pretty standard looking IPA, clear of sediment and light amber in color.

smell is sweet and malty. a bit of a nutty quality.

Tasty indeed. Pretty robust hoppy quality, really well balanced with a nutty and bisuitty quality. This tastes like what an IPA from New Belgium would taste like. Balanced and extremely drinkable, but still got a good hop quality.

Smooth nd extremely drinkable. I would very much enjoy a few glasses after a long hike on a warm day.
