Pours a clear amber color with a white tiny bubbled heading that leaves a ring around the glass.

Smell is of roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and caramel malt.

Taste is all the same but a bit more of a citrusy feeling of hops, again same as the the nose a bit of chocolate and caramel.

Mouth has great carbonation, medium bodied but very alive on the tongue, Leaves a funky bready, yeasty, caramel aftertaste.

Drink is good a bit funky but certainly could be a good session brew.

A - Golden on the edge & amber in the middle. Very thin head that disappears in a blink of an eye.

S - Floral hops followed by a punch of malt.

T - Spicy and hoppy at first but then followed by a big maltiness. While showing each side on its own overall it is balanced. Pretty nice flavor.

M - Stinging sensation from high carbonation with a medium mouthfeel.

D - Overall pretty drinkable - my biggest complaint being the stinging carbonation.

Got this in Philadelphia today at a local deli. Nice copper coloured beer with a pillowy white head, but the head disappears quickly. Solid, malty-caramel on the nose with fuggle hops perhaps? Nice chewy brew, with a medium bodied taste and great drinkability. I wish I had more. Very nice session brew, warm finish.

A deep amber color with a wispy head that didn't stick around long. Caramel and biscuit malt and pine hops in the nose. The palate begins with some bitterness with some sweet malt in the center. Pine, citrus hops at the end with a slightly bitter finish. This is an OK ale, but I not great. I think it could use some depth and complexity.

Pours amber with a weak white head that leaves minimal lacing as it retreats back into the beer. Smell is decent, citrus hops backed by caramel malt tones, not overpowering by smells balanced. Taste starts spicey then moves to a sweet caramel malt flavor, nice balance. Bitterness hits mid-way through followed quickly by citrus hops. Ends dry with a nice hop presence long after the beer has been swallowed. Light to medium mouthfeel. Overall, a pretty nice offering from Dock Street. First time I've had one of their brews and I honestly wasn't expecting much from it. More on the hoppier spectrum when it comes to amber ales (this is more of a pale ale) and would definately go well with some spicy foods. Cheers!!
