Had West of Center to start off at the Dock Street Brewpub. To me this was more of an English Pale Ale with it's low gravity and reminded me of Bass. Most things about it were average. You could detect the hop flavor mostly in it's bitter finish. Mouthfeel was below average, almost watery. No way this was 5.5 ABV. I wouldn't try again.

Strangely dark for a pale ale, distinctly roasty for a pale! Wtf ? Firkinteenth. No bad but no pale ale. Maybe a robust brown or a watery dry stout. Odd. Time to waste space to fill out the billsjit minimrhd do rhsr u have do pit on finger Djibouti Djibouti Djibouti! Auto correct is hilarious!

Not very pale. Pours a deep amber, almost brown, with a mediocre head. The aroma is slight and brown sugar. The flavor is tannic and dry, mostly malt with a piny hop character and a deep, lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin and light. The effect is like a strong, alcoholic earl grey tea. Puzzling but tasty.
