Looking at their online menu made me salivate with all the great local beers. I picked out many choices knowing that they probably don't update their website. When I got there it was Vermont beer night and all the taps were switched to vermont beers. They had a large printed out list but many were not available.
We ordered at the bar and then pushed our way through the crowd to find an open spot. Some guys were leaving and gave us their table but it was full of empty beer glasses. After we finished our 1st round we bused all the glasses ourselves. The table underneath had a great charm like it was pulled from a 100 year old pub. The stone fireplace was nice and the low square tables were nice that lined the wall.
It wash hard to see the menus written in chalk on blackboards but it gave it a nice neighborhood feel. At the bottom of the menu I was pleasantly surprised to see a cask offering and a wood pin offering.
The food was ok but the deviled eggs and grilled cheese were nothing to fancy.
This is a nice pub with a great beer selection and was a great start to a weekend in NY.
