I've shopped this store a number of times and am pleased with the typically fine selection at this New Seasons.

The beer department (along with the wine department) takes up an entire aisle in the center of this store. Bottles run the gamut of West Coast/NW standards and favorites, including local brewers such as Laurelwood, Alameda, Roots and Hair of the Dog. Compared to other NS stores I've visited this store seems to have a few more imported options, particularly from Belgium, Germany and Eastern Europe. Like other New Seasons, beers sold in 4/6-packs can be purchased as singles for the fractional cost of the pack; generally, prices are comparable to bottle shops in the area.

I've found the service to be just a little lacking; it's not necessarily unfriendly, but certainly less attentive than the omnipresent staff at the Concordia location in my neighborhood. As such, I'll score a '3 - average' only compared with other New Seasons stores...

This store should be especially attractive for Washington state beer shoppers, as it's location just east of I-5 (Exit 304) makes it the closest option for border-crossers.

Of note, architecturally: check out the grass-covered 'eco-roof' above the main entrance and the sculptural 'cascading salmon' downspouts.

While visiting some friends in Portland, we stopped by here to check out the store and pick up a few groceries. Quite randomly, I wandered into the beer aisle and was pleasantly surprised. I found a whole, aisle-long cooler full of single bottles and six-packs. There were a lot of great things, especially West Coast beers. Prices seemed pretty good. I bought a single bottle of Dogfish Head's 120 IPA (which I can never seem to find in Ohio) for $7.50. I think the store might be a little expensive, but it's beautiful and nicely laid-out. If I lived close by, I'd probably visit pretty regularly for the beer selection.
