22 oz. gem located at By the Bottle, Vancouver, WA, poured into Piraat tulip 4.17.10. Thanks to the BtB owners for bringing this down from Seattle to greater Beervana area.

One finger semi-rocky white head, medium-slow dissipation with nice lacing. Copper read cloudy body (unfiltered?), nice trail of carbonation rising from bottom of glass. Huge hop hit in the nose, citrus, grapefruit, some caramel malt for balance, finish is hop forward certainly bitter on the backend but not overly bitter, a fine tasting DIPA. Mouthfeel is medium, good effervescence. Extremely drinkable. One of the PNW best DIPAs, glad to see this in bottles. IMO this is the closest I've seen anyone come to replicating flavor profile of Alesmith IPA, which is certainly high praise. Well worth seeking out, certainly worth a trip across the river for Beervana-based hopheads.

Poured into my cheesy, yet refined, spiegelau IPA glass...

Nice off-white fluffy head grows pretty dang fast on top of the clear orange brew. Nice lacing and moderate head retention.

Nice floral pine nose. Lots of apricot, light grapefruit, and dank. Overall, just a touch light.

Hum. Nicely smooth and fluid. Carbonation is even and pronounced without being overdone. Flavors are dank pine, grapefruit, apricot, crisp airy, thin, light, even, dry, earthy bitter bite. Nicely drinkable and quaff-able.

Recommended brew for sure. It's a lighter IPA, even at 7.9%. Definitely an easy drinker. Thanks for the nice present Perry!!
