Bottle: solid dark brown 500mL bottle, an okay label.
Appearance: pours a golden amber hue with some vibrancy, some carbonation running along the side of the glass. A one-finger head drops to thick half-finger, leaving decent lacing. Looks great.
Aroma: a very fresh aroma of citrus hops with peach, passionfruit and grapefruit. A light toffee and caramel behind, with cedar and pine. Lovely.
Taste: plenty of citrus and pine hops, with grapefruit and earth. Some floral, caramel and biscuit malt backing also. A fantastic double IPA.
Aftertaste: a pleasant multi-flavoured hop bitterness with more caramel and biscuit malts behind.
Mouth feel: quite smooth in feel for an IPA, with a moderate feel and a higher-than-average carbonation. Pretty much bang on.
Overall: definitely one of the best American Double IPAs I have had to date. A very complex flavour profile, and a well-constructed beer. I'll definitely have this one as often as I can, despite the high price.

Lightly hazed amber body with a very nice, thick bone white head. Gobs of carbonation, great retention, and pleasant lacing.
Hop nirvana! It's like they crammed every desirable hop trait into one brilliant beer; sweet tropical fruit, dry pine, earthy grass, and vibrant floral. Light pepper to finish things off. Every whiff reveals something new.
Incredible balance. Bitterness is present and quite potent at first, but it either mellows with time/temperature or you get used to it. Nice, unique hop character that is sweet and piney - a refreshing change of pace from most dry, pine-centric IPAs. Light, malty backbone with a hint of sweet, caramel. Pineapple, kiwi, and passion fruit. A bit of crushed pepper rounds things out. No real detectable alcohol. Aftertaste is a bit weird, I imagine it's reminiscent of chewing on a lemon peel... Just keep drinking and you'll be fine.
Smooth & easy to drink. Medium bodied and plenty of bubbly. Sweet finish.
Awesome double IPA! Even those of you who wouldn't consider yourself a hop-head can approach this one and fall in love. This is a must have!
