The place resonates downtown Prescott. The menu compliments the beer and the atmosphere. They do change the menu once in a while so they have several off menu items that you can ask for. The beer speaks for itself.

Basic brewery beers with a seasonal pumpkin. Petrified Porter was crisp and refreshing. Smooth with good dark and burnt grain flavor. Split a pulled pork sandwich. Fast service. Good food. Nothing spectacular.

10 beers on tap with a wide variety of styles. Small bar but lots of seating inside and in the covered atrium. Nice location on the main square across from the courthouse. 4 oz samples available. Hot pretzels highly recommended: the pretzels are pretty good themselves, and they come with a fantastic chive and cheese dip. Shepherd's Pie also recommended.

Visited earlier today after a nice hike around Willow Lake.
Atmosphere was OK, crazy busy at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Families with little kids, old farts, a tattooed guy with a cane, and middle age folks all were present. I like the coasters from all over adorning the one wall which was a nice touch.
Quality was good overall, an enjoyable experience despite the craziness. Tried the Porter and IPA which were both solid brews.
Service was good, the young lady was quite busy but was timely bringing brews and food to Da Boss and i.
Selection of brews was pretty good - 10 PBC brews were available including a Tripel and a Barleywine which i did not sample.
Food was good. Da Boss had the turkey burger which she thought was very well prepared. I had a jalapeno burger which had a nice bite but was not overwhelming as i could enjoy my IPA with it without a constant burn.
Value was good, burgers were both under $12, brews were under $5.
It had been many years since we have been here, glad we stopped in. Definitely will have to come back for a hike and lunch in the future!

Stopped in at Prescott brewing after driving through Jerome from Sedona. Atmosphere is unique as the brewpub shares hall space with some other stores in a narrow indoor shopping space. Walls are lined with coasters from all over. Bar is to the right and back, butting up against the brewing space that isviewable through glass in the rear.
Service was attentive at the bar and they brought out the food promptly.
Selection of brews was about 10 or so taps, with the Achocholyse and Christmas ale being the popularly ones I saw poured. I ordered a pint of the Black Sheep Ale, a dark IPA that was delicious, nicely bitter and just enough roast. Also, tried the IPA which was spot on - not overly cloying, great fresh hops and clean malt flavors. Other brews on tap ranged from wheat, to light and other mild ales.
The food was also very good, we both ordered burgers and shared some fried pickles, all prepared to order and great tasting. Great portions for the price.
Overall quality was very good, brews were very fresh and food prepared well.
Value is exceptional, very cheap with pints at $4 and most menu items less than $12 or so.

Stopped in here for a late lunch after driving through Sedona and Jerome. Downtown Prescott was a neat place to walk around with lots of antique stores and we were pleasantly surprised to find this neat brewpub as well. The beer was good if not great, with a nice IPA and amber making up for a disappointing Tripel. Quite a few other options on the menu and it seemed like they brewed some seasonals and one offs as well. Service was very good despite the place being fairly full at four in the afternoon.
The food stood out with an extensive menu printed in a newspaper format, consisting of all the pub food options you could come up with. I had a really excellent peppercorn-gorgonzola burger and there were a number of other promising items on the menu to keep things interesting.
A pretty good brewpub overall, I would definitely go back if I were to find myself in Prescott AZ.

Upon arriving in Prescott I had a somewhat disappointing tex-mex lunch and headed over here for a beer. I had done some research on this place and heard they had a chocolate beer of some interest, so I met my GF's uncle for a pint. Upon entering I realized that this place is in an old fashioned mall with gift shops abound, which kind of turned me off. The walls were covered in beer coasters which was interesting and gave me something to look at other than the many televisions. They had just re-released thier stout call the Raven, but I wanted Achocolypse, and that is just what I had. The bartender was happy to let me sample what i wanted, but the other brews look pedestrian, so I settled down with my chocolate porter and soaked in the place. The clientele is a mix of local and tourists. Food looked ok, but i only tried a buffalo wing and it, as expected, made me want to drink more beer. It is nice that you can get growlers to go, which we did. If you are in or passing thru town stop by. You will enjoy it, I just regret I did not have time to stop by the Raven. Ah, next time.

I decided to stop in to try a beer while walking through downtown Prescott. I was a little surprised by how -- um -- "America, F--- Yea" it was in terms of the people and the atmosphere. That being said, I was able to get a seat at the bar and not be bothered and just drink my beer. That's all I really wanted anyway. Additionally, the bartender was kind enough to let me sample before picking out what I wanted.
Besides the clientèle in cowboy hats watching boxing, I was struck by the typical bar decor (lots of beer coasters and signs on the walls) and what beers were on tap. I enjoyed the Manzanita Red -- just what I needed on a summer night.
If you're in Prescott, go check it out.

Stopped in on a Sunday Afternoon for lunch while vacationing in the area.
Started off with the Willow Wheat which was absolutely terrible! It had an awful skunky aftertaste. Then tried a sampler rack (without the wheat) and was pleasantly surprised that most of the others were very good. The light was bland but the pale ale, IPA and porter all had good flavor and aftertaste.
The food was good, nothing exceptional. And the service was also fairly good.
I probably would go back if in the area again.

Stopped by today with friends and family for a pre Thanksgiving bash.
The brewpub is a sizeable place, with a good size upstairs and downstairs dining area. It's inside an interior retail outlet center, with the dining area opening up into the small mall area. As you walk in, there are a fair number of tables and chairs all around, with a moderate size bar in the back to the left that probably seats around 12 or 15 patrons. There is the typical brewpub decorations, with posters, coasters and beer trays adorning the walls. There are also a fair number of TV's, with an emphasis on sports programing.
On this particular day they had around 7 or 8 beers on tap, which included one seasonal. Quality seemed to be OK; my IPA was very good, with the porter no better then fair. Everyone else seemed to be pretty happy with the amber and wheat beer they ordered.
The place was fairly croweded the evening we were there, and there were 12 folks sitting at our table. As a result, service suffered just a bit, though our waiter was still unfailingly pleasant and polite. Food was very good and definitely a cut above your normal pub grub. The menu was surprisingly diverse and well thought out; I was favorably impressed with my chipolte chicken salad and my friend's pot pie was terrific. Prices were very fair, with dinner for 12 (which included drinks) coming to around $200.
All and all, I was impressed with my visit to PBC and would certainly come back. A very nice place in downtown Prescott.

I went here on Saturday February 14th with my dad and his wife. I wasn't sure they would like it, as they're not beer drinkers, but my father surprised me by telling me he stops here regularly for the food.
A very nice interior, kind of a small mall, gift shops lining the main hallway. The brewery itself is pretty good sized, with an upstairs area (which we didn't visit), a bar area, and quite a bit of tables to choose from.
Service was fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. In other words, exactly what it should be.
I had the "peppercorn and gorgo burger," cooked medium, side of fries, with a 22oz. pour of their Ponderose IPA. All very good, especially the beer, and the fries. The burger was good too, it had onion straws on it (essentially smaller thinner onion rings) and was served on ciabatta bread. Lettuce, tomato slices, onion for toppings, and a pickle wedge on the side also. Everything was great, but the bread was a bit dry, and the gorgonzola spread was a little tame for my tastes. But those were minor complaints.
Overall, I enjoyed this place thoroughly, and even picked up a bomber of the IPA to ship home to Wisconsin, to enjoy later. If you're going to be anywhere in the vicinity of the Prescott Brewing Company, go there, you won't be disappointed.

good to be back in good ol Prescott, hope to retire here. First visit to PBC. Good selection of brews. IPA, Pale, Stout, Porter, etc..Tried their "Too Grand" ale. A full bodied red ale with a great roasted malt flavor. After I guzzled half of it, found out it was 7.5 abv. Was feelin good. They had a cooler of their beers in 22 oz bottles. Took several home. Only $3.95 per bottle! Extensive food menu with something for everyone. They had 2 dining areas. One up front was more like a diner. The one out back was more your bar scene. Service was good, food was good, good value. Located right down across from the old courthouse and whiskey row. Will definitely return.

This past Friday, on the first night of my vacation to Arizona, my dad, younger brother (who is only 19) and I went here after dinner to sample a few brews, so we did not try any of the food there. My dad drank a pint of the Prescott Pale Ale, while I tried 3 different 4 oz samplers, one of the Petrified Porter, the Ponderosa IPA, and the Pilsner 500. They did ask for my brother's ID so unfortunately he could not sample any of their offerings. I am slowly turning him onto craft/microbrews. Our server Jim took care of all our needs quickly, surprising speed considering that it was a Friday night and the place was indeed fairly crowded. The place did have a bit of a sports bar vibe with several large flatscreen TV's mounted on the walls showing football and baseball games. The overall vibe reminded me of the Great Lakes Brewery's brewpub back home, which was quite nice indeed. There was also a gift shop that sold various things like shirts, beer glasses and also bombers of one of their 2 wheat beers, the Ponderosa IPA, Pinon Light Lager, Prescott Pale Ale, and bombers as well as 12 oz cans of their Liquid Amber Ale. Overall the 3 beers I sampled were quite good and my dad enjoyed his pale ale too. I would certainly like to visit here again if I am ever in Prescott, AZ again.

Was in Prescott for a wedding. I stopped off here for a couple of beers before the rehearsal dinner. Decent local micro type establishment which only serves their own beers. The beers that I had were decent, nothing earth shatterin but for being in Prescott AZ, I was happy. i had an IPA and a Brown Ale, both were fine.
I got to play trivia and whup up on the locals with one of those remote gizmos where you play against the whole bar. I always enjoy those. I got their REALLY HOT wings and these were no joke. Aparrently they use habenro powder to dust them with afterwards. They had me crying.

Unless you have specific plans to go to Prescott, this brewco is not worth making the trip. Though they have placed yearly in several beer festivals, I feel there are better brewcos in Arizona that are more noteworthy.
The atmosphere seems a bit trendy. It has the feel of a college scene (yup, 'tis a college town, indeed) and I didn't really like the atmosphere. We were seated without menus and we had to ask for them when our waiter eventually came. We also had to ask for silverware for our meals. They serve chicken wings, which aren't on their menu. This is the first brewpub I've visited where they served their wings only during certain hours (we were told 4-6 p.m., 10 p.m.-midnight.
Ponderosa IPA was filtered, so it lacked body of good IPAs. The Petrified Porter also lacked in body and taste. It was a bit chocolaty and surprisingly a little sweet. Their hefeweizen stared off with a hearty wheat taste, but finished a bit tart (this was before the citrus was placed in the beer).
Food concoctions are a bit weird. I had the Notcho Regular Nachos which were actually good. Didn't try any other food but was told by my companions that the food was good. The portions are hearty.
Overall, this place is not worth going out of the way to wet your palette. Check out my other reviews for other options.

Love this place. Love it, love it, love it. I've been going there for 10 years, and even since moving to Los Angeles 4 years ago I still make it a point to get to PBC every time i'm in town. I should mention that my family whom I go to visit live in the Phoenix area, more than an hour away. The environment is as a great brewpub should be, a few too many TV's for my taste, but it's not out of hand. Great coaster collection, great view of the beatiful courthouse across the street, and of the on-premises beer making vessels. The quality of the beers is really flawless, not particularly adventurous, but every style they do is extremely well represented. Great IPA, great stout, amber, etc. I was there yesterday and they had a Schwartzbier that was eerily authentic. The brewmaster, whose name I forget is also very helpful with any brewing related questions.
The service is a little spotty sometimes, but it's Prescott, dude. Lighten up. The food is waaay above average pub grub. Like the beer, there's nothing particuarly unpredictable here, but it's all really well done. The only bee in my bonnet, and I make it known every time I go there is that they no longer have the beer batter bread they used to make. It was a buck fifty, and was the best bread on Earth. They brought you a tiny little loaf, tasting like it was right out of the oven. It was served on a tiny little cutting board with a knife and a generous portion of honey butter. It is a crusade of mine to get the beer batter bread back, even if they charge three times as much.
Stone World Bistro it ain't, but there is not a better basic brewpub out there. Great bang for the buck too.

Been going there off and on since they opened. Folks moved to Prescott 25 years ago and since the Whiskey Row area is all about booze...God bless the brewery for giving us beer lovers a haven from the insanity on the obligatory trip downtown. Every review is pretty much on the mark, the place is definitely worth going to if you are a lover of good beer. Family (key word in my case) never fights me cause the food is good too. It's the hit 'n miss thing about service that can sour the fun from time to time. Over all, always a worthy destination [BTW if it's ever just you, try around the corner at LazyLizards Bar, only other place in town with great beers on tap] Prost!

Awesome atmoshpere, warm and cozy, slightly dark. Great place to get through a hangover. Food is exceptional, my favorite is the fish and chips. The burgers are also very very good. Service is frequent, prompt, and very courteous. Good selection of beers, and every beer offered is good, not a bad one to be had. Very good location, downtown Prescott. Nice break from the heat of Scottsdale. Prices are quite reasonable. Check the specials, they are usually pretty good. Overall an excellent place to enjoy a good meal and a good brew.
